Description
An artistic piece that alludes to a process of subconscious decanting where external manifestations play a primary role in the development of one's own identity, the work speaks about the birth of an inner voice in which there’s also outer things that provide some kind of direct influence, starting from the principle of not imitating but of transforming what we perceive into a personal experience. In my case, the art made by my great-grandfather (Carlos Mérida) has been of great influence on my own development, his geometry and knowledge of color are fully reflected in my own work, however there are also other types of influences that give a more organic and moving sense to my own creations, a spark that is passionately ignited through a personal style that gives rise to the creation of something new.
